Present on Franceville beach since 2002, we are constantly striving to offer you more and more services.

The Kite-R school has been providing kitesurfing lessons on Merville Franceville beach since 2002.

Over the years, we have been able to develop our offers to meet your expectations as closely as possible: from the first group lessons to private lessons, from openkite subscriptions to open water lessons.

In 2011 we joined forces with the Zeph Control store, then in 2014 we moved into the kitesurfing center premises and started Kite-R Evolution, changing rooms, lockers, hot showers, a club house, new services for local or passing kitesurfers.

COACHING

Coaching or private lessons is a session format adapted to feel more supported, in fact the instructor only cares about you, your safety and your progress. This course format also allows you to work effectively on supports such as strapless or foil. You can book it for one or 2 people

FOIL

The gliding supports evolve, like the kite 20 years ago, the foil is revolutionizing gliding today. Although some knowledge of gliding is required, the practice and learning of the foil is no longer reserved for the elite of gliding.

We have been giving kitefoil and towed surffoil lessons since 2016, with our experience we have developed a teaching method based on sensations with adapted equipment.

OPENKITE

We have found that to become independent, nothing replaces experience, it is essential to multiply the outings in diverse and varied conditions. Since 2006, we have created the openkiteformula, this one-year subscription, allows you to attend as many sessions as you want. Thus you will be able to acquire a maximum of experience by multiplying the outings throughout the season.

INSURANCE

To participate in the kite course you must be insured for Civil Liability (CL) for the practice of kitesurfing in a kite school. Click on the AF Kite logo below to take out one

Choose the “student” status if you only want to practice supervised at a kite school.

At a minimum, this will cost you €25 per year (from date to date) with the “student” status excluding options (individual accident IA, repatriation strongly recommended).

If your insurer can provide you with a certificate of insurance indicating that you are covered for kitesurfing in a kite school, please send it to us by email before your kitesurfing session or course at the following address: ecoledekitesurf@gmail.com.

The Franceville spot benefits from the best wind statistics in the region, put all the chances on your side to validate your sessions.

Take advantage of recent equipment adapted to your level, we take particular care each year to select, test and develop the equipment that will allow you to progress quickly and safely.

A teaching team at your service, whatever your level and your objectives we have the means to help you progress, from beginner to independent, free-style, waves or foil.

Book your course online, the day before the session we will send you an email confirming the session and its hourly.

We will welcome you directly at the school to make an administrative point, then your instructor will equip you for the session, you can leave your things in our changing rooms. You will go to the area with your group to prepare your equipment and follow the briefing from your instructor. After a complete briefing, you will set off to attack the spot with your equipment. You will stay in contact with your instructor via the radio, located on your helmet. This way, he can correct you in real time and, above all, give you the appropriate safety instructions if necessary.

At the end of the session, you can enjoy the kite center and its facilities to debrief, have a drink, eat or even visit the shop!

A kite school builds its reputation on the quality of the spot where it teaches. In 2002, we did not choose the Franceville spot by chance.

The Normandy coast is mainly exposed to the north, but the particularity of Franceville is that there are no dikes because a large part of its coastline is devoid of buildings. We can therefore take off and practice whatever the tide. Franceville is the largest spot in Normandy that can be practiced whatever the tide and the wind direction.

The second particularity is linked to its quality aerology, as there are few buildings the wind is less disturbed but also stronger than on the rest of the coast.
